Marcos is a Junior in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. In the Neuromuscular Physiology of Human Movement Laboratory, Marcos investigates the Effects of Blood Flow Restriction Training on Fatigue and Neuromuscular Function in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes. Outside of time spent in the lab, Marcos works on the Chem-E-Car project team where he optimizes stopping and propulsion chemical reactions for competitions. As the project team’s Membership Director, he oversees the onboarding, recruitment, and training of new members. Marcos is also the Alzheimer’s Association Chair for his professional pre-health fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Delta, through which he coordinates fundraising efforts and plans the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Marcos also tutors Hispanic high school students through Ann Arbor’s Proyecto Avance, Latino Mentoring Association. In his free time, Marcos likes to play the guitar, run, and cook.
